28 Egyptian and Arab NGOs continue the stages of the green NGOs standard in its first session..
Within the efforts of the NGO Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit at the Arab Center for the Sustainability of Civil Work to support the integration of the culture of quality and sustainability within the work of NGOs, and in complement of the activities of the Green NGOs standard, the unit continues to implement the stages of work with the standard in a way that enhances the institutional and environmental transformation of the private sector. Through the following
Implementing an awareness-raising training program for employees of grant organizations, with the aim of raising their awareness of green practices and linking them to the concepts of institutional quality and sustainable development, in support of the audit preparation phase.
Implementing field review visits to 26 Egyptian NGOs, in addition to holding online review sessions with 2 Arab NGOs, within the framework of the first review of the NGO standard Green.
These efforts come in line with the community vision document for the development of the NGO sector in Egypt issued by the Arab Center for the Sustainability of Civil Work in May 2025, which emphasizes the importance of integrating institutional quality, environmental sustainability, and maximizing development impact, as a main entry point for building more efficient and sustainable NGOs, capable of creating a sustainable positive impact that serves society and the environment.
